(Note that I’m upgrading from a patched version of Catalina, but the steps below are the same regardless. Mine is the oldest supported (er, unsupported) model, and it’s eight years older than the minimum iMac model that Apple still supports. But I’ll take the journey with you using my iMac (20-inch, Mid 2007, with an upgraded CPU) and add some helpful tips based on my experience.
